Springslade Bog

Very similar conditions to yesterday, thick fog and slow to clear.  I popped up onto Cannock Chase and taking a few photographs but mainly hoping for some diffuse sunlight.  I waited..........and waited, well you know what I mean.

Time was running short and while the sun's disc was noticeable occasionally, the light never really lifted as much as I had hoped.   I went into a small wood of trees and came across this bog.  I have walked along the path adjacent to this bog hundreds of times but never really noticed it before.  I think it was the fog that made sense of the space, often the case when the trees are so close together.  I've put a few more shots up on Flickr.
