Quod oculus meus videt

Rhododendron, sp.

Having more than 4 years of images you been to see patterns in the world around you. e.g. when you photograph the first snowdrops, or leaf fall occurs in autumn.  We had brought this plant from our old house, over 20 years ago, and each year it puts on a wonderful display, usually during April though flowering period has varied by up to 3 weeks.  This year it is early, probably due to the mild winter in the West Midlands.

The anthers look like little golden nuggets.
