Market Day
Back at Thainstone Market again today selling goods in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. It was Easter Day and a brilliant sunny morning which became progressively warmer as the day went on.
At this point of the day the air must still have been slightly cool as people are still wearing coats. There were lots more people than when we were here a couple of weeks ago, when it was raining. Unfortunately there were also many more stalls so more competition.
We sold quite a few books, but at £1 for 3 books they are not a great money spinner. In general we found prices a little depressed, maybe partly due to the increased competition. Profit for the morning was just over £70, which is only just over half what we made in the rain two weeks ago. Against that it was a lot more comfortable as we were warm and dry.
