Meet the In-laws

It's been a typical bank holiday - a trip to B&Q and the garden centre, and then home to do the garden. Alan's dad (Barry) mowed the grass, Alan's mum (Norma) weeded the front, I cleaned the garden furniture which is now on the terrace, and then planted the new plants while Alan made a new work surface out of our acquired piece of wood. Alan then covered the rockery at the front with a cover to stop the weeds and we covered it in bark chippings.

It looks totally transformed, but we're all tired so enjoyed a drink on the terrace before dinner. So I'd like to introduce you to the in-laws as you've heard about them over the last few days.

It's the first time since buying the house that we've been able to sit out and enjoy the view, and we're looking forward to spending more time out there :)
