Sharing (or not!) a hot cross bun

Had a lovely day out today at Blist Hill, Ironbridge. Its sort of half way between my folks house and ours so seemed like a good place to meet as work has been too busy to make it over this Easter. The kids were so excited to see each other.

After exploring and lots of running round, we stopped at the bakery to buy a hot cross bun. Eva was persuaded to let little Eliza have a little taste of hers and just after this was taken Eliza tried to make off with it so I think Eva had judged the situation well!

We nearly had to disown Toby at one point. We were sat in a little garden off the main street having a bit of a rest. The kids were chasing each other round the little paths. Next thing we knew Toby had pulled down his trousers and was doing one of his wild wees right in the middle of the garden in full view of all the benches arranged around the edge! He couldn't have chosen a more prominent position! We had to have a little chat about maybe going to the corner and being a bit more discreet if he couldn't make it to the toilet! He said 'No-one saw me!'. His favourite bit of the day was the old fashioned sweet shop, which funnily enough is all I can remember of Blist Hill when we visited it with school when I was a child!

Eva was really brave and went on the fairground rides but Toby didn't like the look of them so he watched.

The pups had a fun day out of their own at their Uncle A and Auntie K's house. Thank you very much for the doggy day care.

Home late via cat feeding and horse feeding.
