Kite flying

Headed over to Calke Abbey for their kite flying extravaganza. Mike being Mike sat up making kites last night on the sewing machine (even though we have perfectly fine ready to go kites!). Anyway we took the home made ones and it was too windy for them. Apparently they need modifications. It took Mike some time to accept this and Toby was rapidly losing interest. Eventually we were allowed to go and buy one, but that wasnt much good either so we had our picnic and went to the play park instead!

Fantastic ride with Cara and Karen this afternoon round Broombriggs. Lots of gallopy gallops and smiles all round.
