Cottontails

Thanks to the cool evenings, growth is coming on in miniscule ways. the cattail shoots are still overwhelmed by their elders which are now cottontails. The trees are budding slowly in this location and the red willows are getting more colorful. The downslope breeze at night still frosts the grass...falling down the mountain; dragging the snow-cold with it. Nights merely a week ago were 20 degrees warmer. Love this wild weather!
