Playing life by ear.

A day with the kids.

We took L. and A. to  Piane delle Orme museum in latina. It is a huge place  which deals with local history, ranging from the 2° world war, antique toys, agricultural history and much more. People come in bus loads form all over europe in order to visit it.
L was reluctant to enter some of the halls, but overcame  his fears when he saw other children coming out.
A, on the other hand, didn't want to miss anything but, on  L's advice, we managed to  to prevent him entering the deportation exhibit.
I'm more than a little concerned about A who seems to be expressing his own insecurities with an excessive interest in guns and violence.
It was on  our return journey that his comment bowled me over. He said, " I can't wait to go to heaven so that I can see my great grandmother. I haven't seen her for  a long time" Considering he is only just seven years old now and the last time he saw my Mum he was only four and a half, I'm totally perplexed.
