Muddy walk

Went for another long walk around the local countryside.

Instead of walking along the pavements and lanes, we followed a footpath sign. Big Mistake!

The path took us across fields and ended up at a gate where, I'm guessing, cows normally congregate. There was no way to get around the area - so despite trying to use a few small rocks as stepping stones - we both ended up ankle deep in mud!!!

Worse still - as we hadn't intended to walk 'off road' neither of us had suitable shoes on. We both ruined our shoes.
