Got one! Finally!

I think I wrote in a blip about two years ago that I was hoping to get a shot of a woodpecker... Well, here it is! :-)
We were in the animal park and I'd taken a nice one of a huge owl, sitting on a branch.  He was one of their display birds of prey and had flown up there during a show and refused to come down.  He's called Elvis and is a beauty.  He did eventually back fly down to his handler.

Then I got a shot of two ducks hiding amongst the pond plants and loved that one, but shortly afterwards I spotted this wild woodpecker in the woods!  I've been trying for one of these for so long I just had to blip it, even though, like my butterfly yesterday, it is pretty small!  I'm very pleased to have it! :-)
