I wonder if the male mantises know they are going to be gobbled up after sex with this lovely lady?   They really are pretty scary, and this one looked pretty frightening!   She was trying everything to frighten Cadbury!  Her mouth looks like she's just eaten something really bloody. I moved her off the drive so I didn't flatten it as I drove out and all the fluffed out bits settled as she moved off into the bushes - just another normal looking mantis.
The Rhodes statue came down this evening.  I was very pleased to be part of that piece of history.
