Painful beauty

I spotted these peacock feathers glistening in the sunlight while I was waiting for C to get back from her ride ... so lovely, yet stuck to a barbed wire fence.

C finally got her biopsy results which were worse than expected. She has to have a shoulder replacement and part of her upper arm replaced with a titanium implant. Scans tomorrow to make sure there are no metastasis. Problems if there are any as this form of cancer does not respond to either chemotherapy or radiation... just extensive surgical excision. So we'd value your prayers! Despite all this upsetting news we are feeling very fortunate to be getting the best care available anywhere.
