3 generations together in the Cotswolds
This is me with my niece and great-niece (thank you Longshadow). Another beautiful sunny day and we visited Lower Slaughter for coffee, a quick look at Stow and then back home for lunch. The afternoon was all about paddling in the River Windrush and a little more than a paddle when little A unexpectedly took a tumble into the river. Luckily her Dad was watching and jumped in to rescue her. By the time we got home we had exaggerated the story to have him fighting off the ducks and even a penguin and pelican that (in our version!) had escaped from Birdland. There then followed sitting in the sun and running round the garden....we were all exhausted and after A went to bed we just managed to summon up the energy to watch Mockingjay (Hunger Games) which we all enjoyed.
