Helter Skelter

I met my good friend John for lunch and an afternoon of socialising. We had a great lunch at The Dirty Duck, Waterside followed by an ice cream from Thornton's for pudding.

It was then over to the RSC theatre cafe for coffee on the third floor balcony, all very nice.

There was a small fun fair set up on Bancroft Gardens, with a carousel and other rides plus a helter skelter. I've not seen a fair here before, we normally only get the MOP in the autumn which takes up the town centre streets. I suspect it's something to do with the jubilee celebrations.
