three go on an adventure

spontaneous saturdays are back.

today's (possibly my fave one like eveeeer) included a random meander around the reabrook which winds itself around shrewsbury, leaving us to wonder as to our whereabouts at various points. the brook led us to some show houses so we worked our way round a couple. like rightmove only in real, actual life. then we stumbled across the greek othodox church which i will leave to chickensparrow to describe, because she will do it far more eloquently than me. it is the main othodox celebration tonight so they were busy preparing and the church was full of beautiful flowers. it's a tiny church with what looks like standing room for about twenty people. we were informed that there would be two hundred there this evening, from around 11pm till 3am.

then we headed to the pensioner's mecca,: the new percy throwers garden centre. exhausted after the excitement of garden furnishings and fish, we settled down for tea and cake. delightful.

and then we sat in the sunshine and summoned the guardian angels to come and pick us up. could a day finish in a more wonderful way than a car ride home with The Dad (and mum)?

now for a little rest. chickensparrow and I have accepted an invitation to the othodox celebration this evening. and maybe i should fit in a shower since we are more than likely going to be getting up close and personal with some greeks.
