We decided to take a walk to a very nice restaurant in town. Although it was cold and there was snow everywhere, it was very nice walking there. After we have eaten though, the wind came up and it started snowing again, it was very unpleasant walking back. Soon afterwards both roads to our town were closed, and we heard later that some friends slid off the road on their way back, and that road was also closed when the rescue squad in their big 4x4 was also sliding around on the icy road. We have to go to Reykjavik tomorrow, so hopefully the weather will clear overnight, otherwise we will have to take a big detour that will take 5 times as long.
