Busy day today! Back to ballet for the miss. Final countdown to exams now  so she's excited about that and they're working hard. After ballet we came straight home. We spent some time working on her holiday project - designing her own cat to write a poem about. She decided on Mrs Mistofelees, based on herself as a cat. Using pictures of herself at Cats, being a cat and face painted as a cat at the show. Today she did the artwork. Mrs Mistofelees has gold sparkly fur and a bling collar. 

She went out to a school/church friend's party this afternoon. Lydi and her daddy took her. They had a brilliant time!! When Katie came home, Granny and Grandad were already here, for my little birthday tea. They brought wonderful presents (Liberty fabric, eek! And strawberries... mmmmm yum!) and cake, as required by Katie. Which, as last year, had to be carried in by someone who wasn't me. We also had a nice skype with Uncle Simon. Katie went quite epically hyper at the chance to pull faces at him - she's missed doing that. 

Today is, to Katie, Monkey's 5th birthday. Today, Katie and her beloved Monkey met properly for the first time. Consequently "he" had a turn blowing the birthday candles out too. And she says he has requested that I make him a flower tshirt and trousers as his birthday present.
