Unremarkable

Unremarkable days are quite good really. I used to hate getting to the end of a day and realising nothing much had happened. These days I'm quite glad to have nothing major to report.
I think so much horrid stuff has happened in the last 4 years that we've come to a 'no news is good news' phase of our lives. I guess it's called middle-aged with kids!

Joel's come back from work experience with a headache which has slowly got worse over the evening. Since his head injury and eye damage 2 years ago I worry about every single headache. So he's gone to bed dosed up with paracetamol suspension. I always feel like sleeping on his floor when he's unwell but I'm not sure he's even got a floor anymore.

Richard's watching The Apprentice (or sleeping and pretending to watch it) and I'm hanging around in the kitchen waiting for it to finish.

Tomorrow Richard's going to the ENT clinic at the hospital so they can investigate why he's had sinus problems for 5 years and no sense of smell for about 2 years. Fingers crossed it's something fixable and he will be able to breathe properly soon and he (and I) can sleep well again*.

The bees are very keen on the flowers I bought last week and haven't planted out yet. They've been buzzing happily over these snap dragons.
I've been enjoying watching bees recently and they even inspired a blog post: Expectations

(*Actually Richard's sleeping and breathing well now by the sounds of it. Maybe I can sneak in and kill Alan Sugar)
