In a Hole.
Walked into (and joined) this little demonstration today. A little surprised, as given Bristol's habit of rioting, all the windows on this estate agents were solid, even if the staff were cowering behind them.
It's an ethical issue. CJ Hole sent a letter suggesting rent increases. In a city where rents are unnaturally high, this was too much. And it IS wrong, very wrong.
Last night for example, I walked through a bridge arch where a couple of blow up beds, duvets, a chair and pushchair were set in very much the way you would if you had a home. The key difference was that this was open on both sides. And had a public footpath right past the end of the bed. No on should be living like this. No one. very much the young or those with families.
But even us with full time jobs struggle to pay the extortionate rents and the 'fees' from the likes of CJ Hole. I paid a fee to get the contract for the house in in (I had to badger them to sort it). I paid a fee for the key, and a fee for an inventory(never received, the property was empty). All that money for nothing.
I'm all for fairness, but it doesn't feel fair to me
