Eclipsed

Up very early for the eclipse, and along with rather a lot of other people I headed up Calton Hill. There was a horrible moment where I thought I had not brought the bush for the tripod but I found it. I set up with my 70-300mm on 300mm and infinity focus and got it pointed at the Sun. I then added an infrared filter to help cut through the gathering clouds, unfortunately forgetting that the focus needs adjusting. So I took an awful lot of slightly out of focus shots but the lesson was learned. 

Work was good, home less so. Having visitors when you aren't speaking to each other is hard.
