Greenfinch

This bird sat in the same position for over 30 minutes so eventually I decided to try to photograph it. Despite the foreground branch i still like the result.

An awful day weatherwise after this dry start. Wet and windy and after watching Manchester United 4 Manchester City 2 I walked through to the dining room at Mum and Dad's house. I was intending to set the table for the evening meal but noticed a wet patch on Dad's comfy armchair !

Drip , drip , drip from the ceiling. A bucket first then up stairs, floorboards up and looking at central heating pipes and all around was dry.

Looking again and it was nearer the front of the house and that flat roof than i thought. I ended up there clearing water and a bucket ( different bucket) full of moss and debris that may have been partly responsible. Everybody else enjoyed their meal :-)

Looks like a bit of sealant may be all that's needed - hope so.

The evening was spent watching the Masters which has just finished. The young man who won (Jordan Spieth ) seems to be the calmest
new talent in golf - I think he could do it all again if required to do so.
