No Outdoor Photography for me today

but I did buy the magazine.

Its a magazine I did subscribe to for many years, I've just checked and I have Issue 1 June 2000 through to the late 2010 at least Issue 130 and then I stopped. Why?
- at the time I found I had stopped reading any of the articles and had just been flicking through the photos with only a little more interest than the supplements in a weekend newspaper.

One of the factors was that so many of the photographs seemed similar and of course after that many issues even some of the same locations.

So why buy it today ?

Well its not for the free book which I had already a sample portion of 'free' with an old copy of the magazine. It was because fellow Camera Club members alerted me to the fact that there was an interview with local Landscape photographer Duncan Fawkes

Duncan was the first person I said hello to at the first Camera Club meeting I attended so I have enjoyed watching his progress into the ranks of professional photographers. Duncan's photographs of the highlands and Skye are my favourites but he has a wide range and a real personal style with his own favourites often being created in very low light of fleeting moments.

He is off to Scotland with his family to further his ambitions and his friends in the camera club will all be wishing him well and watching his web site for his news and of course his photographs.
