Then they ran off

The monthly two days in Wellington. A full day in the meeting room. Covered a lot of ground and did well; even if at times we had vigorous debate, there was generally a consensus on most things.

After six hours I needed a run to freshen the neurones. Wellington had a cold and strongish wind from the south. The sun cut the chill a bit, and I enjoyed a run around the waterfront.

Just here, a concrete beam projects over the water of the inner harbour. Three young persons were standing there looking and talking so I took this photo. They then turned and left the beam at a bit of a run. Captured in photos, but I liked more, the feeling this photo generates.

By this time the sun was almost behind the hills to the west of the central city, although it was still striking the buildings on the hills above Oriental Bay. The band of light in the water is reflected from the old Catholic nunnery half way up the hill.

S has also come to Wellington, and will spend tomorrow with a friend while I finish the meeting, hopefully not late in the day, and then back to New Plymouth.
