Remarkable recovery

We went to visit my mother (she is 88 years old) in Keflavík. She has recovered so well after last years trauma (4 hip operations and an infection), that it's almost like a miracle. It was so nice to see how strong she has become, and she even cooked delicious  icelandic "kjötsúpa" for us. 

In the evening we were invited to dinner at our friends Hjördís and Sighvatur's place, and later joined by another couple, Sólrún and Oddur. All of them once lived in Akureyri, and it was such a pleasure meeting them again. 

We also visited my parents in law at the hospital, where they are both staying now. Not seriously ill, but not well enough to manage on their own at home. Hopefully they'll soon get a place at a nursing home.
