Coal tit on the Acer
A few days ago we moved one of our potted Acers from its winter quarters back to its usual place in front of the kitchen window. It didn't take long for the coal tits to find it and come looking for insects on its slender branches. This one stayed for about 10 minutes, hopping from branch to branch, so I was able to get quite a few shots. The bird was about 6 inches from the window so I had to stand back a fair way so as not to scare it.
A fine day today. Dave turned up after the winter absence to finish off laying the paving stones outside the outbuilding. He will do a few other jobs for us, too.
