Street names....

They say that there were Gypsies camping in the area in the 16th century. Certainly, there was Egypt Farm, first mentioned in 1585, which may have been a reminder of their presence. It was demolished in the 1890s.


When I first knew the premises they were garaging for our local undertakers.   They well and truly outgrew the space and had to build out of town.   Now this is housing in a very quiet corner of Morningside.
