On the way to Bangkok
Back blipping on 16th April
Our last day in Chiang Mai. We took a trip on the Ping River, which was fun and leisurely. We saw loads of water hyacinth growing wild - our guide told us that when the river floods, the water hyacinth are carried all the way to Bangkok, where they can cause real problems.
Then back to the hotel, a quick dip in the pool and off to the train station to catch the overnight sleeper to Bangkok. We watched the sun setting and then had a cheap and quite enjoyable meal in the restaurant car, before settling down for the night. But no wi-fi on the train!
My camera does not have GPS, so my map location is somewhat of a guess.
