Morning Dew

It's such a joy to visit the Arboretum in springtime. Little green things are popping out all over, and the groundspeople have been working frenetically to get things ready for the coming weekend, when the big Blue-White game will bring lots of crowds to campus.

I love to visit the gardens any time of day, of course, but morning is probably my favorite time. The day is just getting started, the light is good, and every little green leaf is sparkling and shining with morning dew.

The song to accompany this image is Morning Dew, by Bonnie Dobson. You may have heard it performed by the Grateful Dead, but Bonnie (a Canadian folk singer) is the song's original author.
