Down on the Beach
12.0C (local weather station shows 15.6C) with sunny sunshine all day long. Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound didn't seem interested in being in the garden this morning, but I went out and pruned the dogwoods in the front garden before lunch.
Maeve and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the road bridge over the railway. Down on the beach we saw a tractor with a trailer and what looked like a mini digger of some sort. My best guess would be that they were taking away old straw and manure from the little stable in the field just beyond the house past the fishermen's huts. There are horses in the field/stable.
We came back over the road bridge over the railway line and then back up the main road and round to home.
Later I mowed the front lawn. It looks much tidier than it did before the first cut a week ago. Maeve has now decided to go out and lie in the late afternoon sunshine.
