Fun at the Beach

We were at the beach by 9.30 am and though the sun was bright, the wind was cold. It was 9 degrees, but that didn't stop the fun. They both paddled in wellies but after getting soaked Ella got her tights off and had a good splash - a hardy Northern girl. As she told us in "Frozen" speak, "the cold doesn't bother me". She and Nathaniel played with their buckets and spades, and they kicked the ball around to warm up.

After lunch we went to the play park in Cragside, while their mum did her marking, then we walked down the field to see the lambs. I think they'll sleep tonight.
