Black Rover

This view of Loch Striven, taken from near the MOD fuel depot, shows RFA Black Rover moored at the depot pier. On a beautiful afternoon, the noise of the ship's generators (or whatever) was great enough to drown out the birdsong all the way to the edge of the depot's perimeter fence.

I always feel sad as I walk here - one of my favourite places - because such a beautiful site has been scarred by having the hillside and the shore used in this manner.
