Good News.

Hubby and I drove back to the hospital in St Pölten this afternoon to visit his brother, who at 55, had a massive heart attack last Thursday. It is possible he had been lying for a while before he was discovered and resuscitated. He was taken to the hospital which has a renowned heart unit and placed in an induced coma. The blocked arteries were recanalised with stents and balloons and he was physically stable, but symptoms suggested he may have significant brain damage. It was a very worrying prognosis but improvements in the CT scan and EEG in the last day or so have been very encouraging. We are crossing our fingers and holding our thumbs (which the Austrians do for luck) that he will be able to tell us himself when he wakes up properly.
The weather had done a complete turnaround this afternoon. The temperature plummeted about 10 degrees and it started pelting down. This miserable view of the forest was taken through the car window on the way home.
