Royal Albert Hall, London

A great start to our few days away - our trains were on time, comfortable and oh so quick! Manchester to London in just over 2hrs.

Euston Station was a little overwhelming. So many people and it was only early afternoon! We took the tube to Paddington, found our apartment and dropped off our bags, then set off for Hyde Park to explore.

A walk through the park, past the Albert Hall to spend a couple of hours in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Then, down towards Harrods for a good mooch around there. F spotted a footballer shopping, and I was really impressed by the Ditchfield glass on display at one of the entrances. H made us walk around every floor - just so she had seen everything  - even the washing machines!

It was getting dark, so we walked back through Marble Arch and stopped for an Italian meal close to our apartment. My butternut squash and sage risotto was glorious.
