Wild Turkey

As we parked up near church this morning, we could hear a completely different sound, a deep bird call, and not an attractive sound. I did a bit of casting around to see where this noise was coming from, and caught sight of this chap, stood on the wall of one of the village gardens. I figured it was a game bird of some kind - but had to come home to look it up. Apparently its a wild turkey. They have them at Temple Newsam House, and at Harewood, so unless one of the villagers has decided to get themselves a turkey this week - I suspect this one is on the run.
