Fragile young lives

I managed to get 3 of 4 young Coots in one shot. Sadly another chick, which can be seen in the background, wasn't moving anymore.

The swan eggs at the artificial island were still ... well, eggs. This means that I'm most likely going to miss the hatching as I won't be able to go anywhere during the first week after my operation tomorrow and I don't know yet how mobile I'll be after that.
