Azerley Charity Clay Shoot

The weather forecast yesterday said it was to rain this afternoon, that didn't fill me with joy!
I spoke quietly to the rain god and requested a shift to later in the day... Hey ho, it didn't rain until about 7pm. :-)

It's a long story, this shoot thing.
Kev and Emma are friends we've known since they arrived at Garrowby as under keeper and partner, he is now head keeper at Azerly. Six years ago Molly arrived, her entry to this life didn't go as well as planned and has resulted in her being quite a poorly girl, she spent a long time on the sick children's ward at Leeds hospital and has cerebral palsy. Now aged six she is a fab and very strong minded, mischievous little girl.
Kev and Emma have been organising the Azerley charity clay shoot since 2008, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Dalton.
Monies raised to date:
2008 , £4,748 to Nei-natal unit St James Hospital, Leeds.
2009, £5,502 to The sick children's trust, Eckersly House, Leeds.
2010, £8,417 to The sick children's trust at Eckersly House, Leeds.
2011, £11,950 to Follifoot Park disabled riders group.
2012, £8,184 to Follifoot Park as above
2013 £9,800 to Follifoot Park as above
2014. £13,000 to Support dogs, dedicated to increasing independence and quality of life of children and adults with various medical conditions, that was enough to provide and train a dog for a young boy, the dog is aptly named Azerley.

I have no idea what today has raised, what I do know is that every one there had a fabulous day, and hopefully Kev and Emma will be happy with the shots we got for them. I'll be putting them on to my Flickr page soon.

Jankerman.... Fancy coming with next year?
