Evening walk

This doe and her companion, a young buck, still sporting velvety antlers, were wandering in the bog this evening. Our weather has been so dry, there is virtually no water left in the bog. I'm wondering where mama mallard and her duckling have gone? It can be a hard life when you depend on nature for your food and habitat, but at least there is still plenty of green vegetation.

Today started out chilly and cloudy with more than a threat of rain, but the sky cleared and the evening is beautiful with cool temperatures and low humidity.
