Back Blip:  Alex came back home from Grandma and Grandpa's after spending a few nights away.  A break is always nice, but it was so good to have him home again.  Spent the morning in our yard then headed out to the cabin to enjoy the sun.  Breezier than we thought it would be, but Alex had fun with the wind and his towel.  Lots of cool rock collecting (Alex's new beach obsession. . . in addition to adding to his collection of sticks that look like guns) and even found an agate.  He picked me the most beautiful bouquet of dandelions and even put them in a vase for me to take home.  However, the joy that the flowers once brought to us has since been replaced by severe disappointment that they died rather quickly and even more heartbreaking, the fact that mommy threw the (very dead) flowers away.  Life lessons.  More pics from the beach!  We were also able to pull the covers off the chairs, fire up the old space heater and enjoy our first "Wine on the Patio" night of the year.  Looking forward to many more nights here.
