The Lady Chapel Restored

and the weather is still sparkly.

Glorious weather when I went to the pool and still gorgeous when I went into Lichfield.  I had my eyes tested and then called in to the Vodafone shop to ask about my Samsung Galaxy Alpha as my time was running a bit slow (an impossibility, I understand on 4G)  I'd called into Vodafone Covent Garden on Monday but the two idle gentlemen who were faffing with their smart phones didn't want to know and suggested I went to the Samsung shop on Oxford Street !!!  Emma sorted it out instantly and it's fine now  (automatic update was the simple secret).

Before I went about my boring business, I took the time to race up to the cathedral because I wanted to see the restored medieval windows. For the past seven years, the  Herkenrode stained glass (16th century Flemish) has been under repair. Now it is back in the Lady Chapel in all its glory.

It's very well worth a visit - a stunning treasure.

Apologies - I changed my photo.  I was sharing the beauty of the cathedral in the morning light, but I really am far too excited about the stained glass to post anything else !
