White faced Heron
It was a glorious day today - if it wasn't for the colourful carpet of leaves, you would think it was summer. I was out this morning with a friend visiting a new cafe in town, so this afternoon for lack of anything else decided to take the camera to the estuary to sit in the sun and just enjoy the scenery. I knew there would be a swan blip if nothing else.
I was sitting there, almost dozing when this heron landed almost beside me. I inched my camera up, scared any movement would frighted him away and managed to fire off a couple of shots before he realised I was not a normal part of the seat.
