Family History
I walked up to the cowshed this afternoon, just as the cows were walking to the shed for milking. 186 walked up to me and gave me a big kiss 'moooo', turned around and kept on walking to the shed.
We can follow this cow back four generations in our herd. She's rather distinctive with her large black patches around both her eyes. It's son's C cow - and he's just told me that she is carrying an Ayrshire calf. Will be an interesting combination when it is born!
It's been a glorious autumn day. There was real warmth in the sun - ideal for grass growing. We have to make the most of it, as over the ANZAC long weekend we are forecast to have torrential rain. Perfect to sit inside and read a book. :-)
