And the earth moved.......

We had a 6.2 magnitude earthquake this afternoon. It felt like a whopper! The quake was centred not far from here, and was only 52 km deep. I was at school at the time, cupboards were opening, my computer moving on my desk, and it went on for what seemed like hours - although it was only probably 'rolling ' for 45 seconds.

I came home and have noticed pictures on the wall have moved, and books have fallen out of the bookshelf. We are lucky not to have had more damage.

I hope all those blippers that have travelled to Wanaka this long weekend, have a wonderful time. I'm just sorry that I'm not going to be there. I will follow you though through your blips!
