Tulips

I'm surprised these tulips have done so well, this being their second year in the pot. We cover them with wire as the deer love the buds. These are a glorious rich dark red.

It's been an other wonderful day of warmth and sunshine. I went to the gym early so that I could be outside for the rest of the day. I'm reading the last of the Patrick Leigh Fermor trilogy about his walk from England to what was then Constantinople in the 1930s.
