Birch woods and blaeberries
We had planned a trip to town to get various boring but necessary purchases, but as the weather was fine and the forecast for the rest of the week is rain, it seemed a good plan to postpone that and for Mr C to get on with planting. I took the opportunity to meet a friend for a three mile round onto the moor via the woods at the back of our house. The above blip shows that there are heaps of blaeberries forming already - let's hope the deer aren't too hungry and that they leave some for me. I love blaeberry pancakes with maple syrup, or to have them in a cheesecake - I even invented a cocktail using them - but it had the unfortunate blue colour of loo cleaner.
It has clouded over so I have the excuse to get on with my Vietnam book. I'm really into it now. I'm only about half way as I'm having to edit the chosen photographs - in itself not easy owning to me taking too many - and then design the layout as I go, to show the chosen photographs to best effect, as well as incorporate some narrative. Mr C likes it to be chronological whereas I prefer to have a theme, so compromises have to be made. I have final editorial rights though!
