all the way from hawaii

confession: i don't know if these pineapples really came all the way from hawaii. but it's been a long day of study, study, and more study, so i don't feel too bad making assumptions that transport me (if only in spirit) to a beautiful kauai beach.

shire and i are determined to eat healthier, so to the store we went, returning with fruits and vegetables of a surprisingly wide variety. the (probably from hawaii) pineapples were my favorite, with the (definitely from chiapas) mangos a close second. apparently the latter were "caressed by balmy ocean breezes coming from the south pacific." who knew?
