Celebrate Good Times, C'MON!

Today there really is good cause for celebration at Pickleberry!

When Jan first took on the coffee shop, she had a business partner, who decided after 6 months that it wasn't for her, so she left.

Since then it's all been rather messy, involving solicitors and barristers and a court case that was held today.

First of all the Judge gave a general rollickin' out for even bringing such a case to court and said it should never have got this far! Then he gave the prosecuting solicitor ( not Jan, she's the defendant in all this ) a right telling off for running his clients bill up to £9,000 ( cool Judge! ).

In the end the Judge awarded Jan's ex-partner £1,000 less than Jan originally offered her and also said Jan wasn't liable for any of the court costs of the other party ( she was trying to get Jan to pay 75% of her fees!! ).

So, it's been a good day and now we're ready to celebrate the Jubilee! If you're looking for somewhere to have a nice coffee and good piece of cake on Tues, Jan's opening up, so come on over!
