BLUE POOLS.....

.... still getting up to date BUT hope in another 30 minutes will be up to current with internet now "performing"!
Today (24th) we went out to one of many magnificent walking trails which all seem to lead to yet another majestic piece of scenery to have yet another "wow"!!

This is called Blue Pools situated on the Makarora River about 1 hours drive north west of Wanaka. The drive firstly travels along the shore of Lake Hawea, then as you leave that lake you have vision of the Lake Wanaga. Now we have facility to add further pics will add one of Lake Hawea.
The walk to the pools is first through a genuine rain forest atmosphere with everything covered in moss and lichen, and plenty of fungi.

My Blip is showing one of two swing bridges to get over the pools and again have added a pic showing another section of pools. The wonderful colour is generated from the minerals in the rocks and soil, and quite frankly the photo does not do the water clarity or colour justice. Plus the large trout visible swimming in the pools.
