March fire

I've just found this photograph on my phone.  It was taken a few minutes before we evacuated the horses from their paddocks on the side of the mountain.  It all feels so long ago - most of the fire damage to fences and structures has been repaired however the grazing will take longer as the rain is very slow in coming this year.  On one hand this is a good thing as the mountain has some time to recover before the heavy rains - but it is very, very dry for this time of year!
