Sunny morning

When we woke up this morning (partly as a result of some howling gun dogs somewhere outside our open windows...), the sun was shining brightly. I pulled the curtains back and hopped back into bed for a little while, to enjoy the light streaming through the windows.

What a wonderful hotel (Chirnside Hall Hotel in the Borders)! A great weekend. I'm so glad that when I realised that I had a work obligation down here on Saturday night, I suggested that we make a weekend of it. We couldn't have higher praise for the hotel, its staff, its grounds and the food!
