Hotel Au Quartier, Maastricht

I've been to Maastricht before, but I've never stayed - or at least I don't recall that I have - in a hotel on the historic centre of the city. So on a flying visit to attend a friend's inaugural lecture it was good to stay in the boutique Hotel Au Quartier just along the street from the Vrijthof.

Very comfortable hotel. Good first impressions when I arrived from Brussels airport via a very efficient shuttle service. Rather better than having to take the train via Liege as we did last time.
